Fat Burners

Fat burners are a type of diet pill that function by boosting the body’s ability to burn off its excess stored fat. They are typically made up of stimulants in one form or another, which will enhance the metabolism. The faster the metabolism, the quicker it will burn through the calories that are gained through food, and then begin using stored fat as fuel for the body.

There are several different types of fat burners, but when all is said and done, the effect is relatively similar. The difference is the strength of the effect, its safety, and any side effects that may occur alongside it.

Among the more common fat burners are caffeine, green tea extract, and synephrine. Caffeine comes in many different forms. Though the most common is the same type that is found in common food and beverages such as coffee, tea, cola, and chocolate, there are other forms, as well. For example, dicaffeine malate. This is a chemically altered version of regular caffeine, which has been designed to provide the same positive effects, but without as many side effects such as headaches and jitters. Other types of caffeine that are often found in diet pills include 1,3,7 trimethylxanthine, and caffeine anhydrous.

Green tea extract has been receiving a notable amount of attention in the diet world over the last few years as a number of different reputable scientific studies have linked its use with a positive effect on weight loss. The combination of the stimulant with the antioxidant substance within the ingredient encourage the body to burn its fat more quickly. The key to taking advantage of these fat burners is to make sure that the dosages are strong enough. The majority of diet pills that contain green tea extract do not come anywhere near the minimum effective dosage that was identified in the studies that illustrated its efficacy.

Synephrine fat burners are also known as bitter orange and citrus aurantium. These have been banned in a number of countries, such as Canada, due to the strong side effects that are associated with them. This ingredient is also known to conflict with a number of health conditions and medications. Though it is still legal in the United States, leading medical authorities such as the Mayo Clinic, and even the FDA have issued cautions about using this substance, as there can be unpleasant results when it is used in certain high doses or by the wrong individuals.
